Zap it in a Zibi….

Aaah. The old days of radio (Gaz, that’s what you called a wireless, dear).

Remember lying under the duvet while the voices and music spun out into the dark? I wasn’t allowed to listen to Squadcars, but I did. Trying to keep the dodgey volumn control knob on it’s lowest notch, but still loud enough to hear the dialogue.

And the ads. The ads.

It’s wine. Back then wine was just so gay. So virginia becoming the wine for men who enjoyed being men (and shagging women).

    lekker post nuh!

  7. dolce says:

was definitely “men who enjoy being men”.

But maybe it was wine for men, who usually were a bit camp in a Barbara Streisand kind of why, but who then liked dressing up like a hardarsed biker every now and again.

Come to think of it, it was a very village people ad!

me thinks they protested too much….Like “it’s ok to drink wine, you big poef”.

My teeth curl just thinking about what Virginia must have tasted like.

Maybe the one for men who enjoyed being fokkin’ gesuip.

    And ta, E!
